The Story of Wemyss Bight Public Library
Freedom to Read Inc. provided a brand new book collection to the Wemyss Bight Public Library in 2008. In 2017, our organization brought Wemyss Bight 500 new leveled readers.
In 2018, Freedom to Read Inc. worked with ComputerReach and Bahamas Methodist Habitat to provide five refurbished laptops to the library. There are currently more than 2,000 books in the collection for a community of about 500 residents. The library attendant is Clara Williams, a local business owner with strong ties in the community. |
