The Story of Palmetto Point Public Library
Freedom to Read Inc. completely renovated Palmetto Point Public Library in 2016. In 2018, Freedom to Read Inc. worked with ComputerReach and Bahamas Methodist Habitat to deliver five laptops.
The library currently has about 1,500 books for a community of 1,200 people. The main patron group is students from Central Eleuthera High School and Emma Cooper Primary School. The library attendant is Araminta McKenzie-Collins, a local mother who is active in the community. Palmetto Point Public Library Hours |
