Freedom to Read Inc.

CHANGING LIVES WITH THE
POSITIVE POWER OF FREE
ACCESS TO LITERACY

12 Libraries in the Bahamas

Picture
Freedom to Read Inc. was founded with one simple goal: to change lives through free access to literacy for Bahamians in the Family Islands.

For more than a decade, Freedom to Read Inc. has been taking donated books to Eleuthera Island. Our team works hand-in-hand with community residents and local government leaders to refurbish and remodel buildings, install library collections and train library attendants and staff.

We want to make sure every library is fully functional,  with hundreds of books, tables, chairs, freshly painted walls, newly built shelves, computers, digital card catalogs and a trained library attendant.
